You just know when you arrive at the door of Peony Place that this is going to be really good. The staff have gone to a lot of trouble to create a beautiful Valentine's Day display, and the florist section is just gorgeous.
Once at the counter, I was served quickly and thoughtfully by the very friendly owner.
I ordered a takeaway meal and coffee and was given an estimate of how long it might take. They were busy ... because they're good!
I went away and used my intuition to guide me back just in time to see the barista pouring the milk into my cup. Perfect timing.
The food was delicious.
The coffee was strong and robust, with a lovely bitter after-taste. Quite unique, I thought.
